As the snow slowly falls this season, now is the time for new goals and new beginnings.
1. Let music pave the way. Are there any songs out there that could describe where I want to be? Yeah, I know it’s kind of corny, but if you took a quick moment to listen to a few songs out there, they are someone’s story. Someone has felt like you at some point–at least enough to express it. I’m not referring to the songs where you lost your dog, your job and your favorite pair of cowboy boots (no offense hardcore country music fans). Choose a fun upbeat song that fits you. Something you can play when you get discouraged that lifts you up.
2. Post pictures of where you want to be. Visualize your goals. Maybe you want a bigger house or to fit into your favorite jeans again. Find a picture and post it as the background on your phone, computer, or TV. Keep your eye on the ball.
3. Reach out and call a friend. Sharing your story with friends in person, on Facebook, etc. can be a great way to get the support you may need to hit your goals. You never know, maybe a close friend has been there done that already and is willing to help.
