An iPhone app saved a life while the victim sat under feet of rubble from the earthquake in Haiti. A Pocket First Aid & CPR app helped to save filmmaker, Dan Wooley’s life when he was trapped for 65 hours in the lobby of a hotel in Port-au-Prince after the earthquake in Haiti. It’s so amazing that this injured man relied on an iPhone app to get the right procedures to mend his wounds while still trapped in the dark. The app not only helped save his life but also provided additional light after he had crawled into a crushed elevator to wait for help.
The app he used is no longer available in the iTunes store but check out this similar app and others from the American Red Cross that are available for both iOS and Android.
